TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking Terms: 

By booking with Makeup By Rachael and paying a deposit, you agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

​

Location: 

All in-studio bookings are conducted at FAYE STUDIO- Shop 4/512-514 Brighton Road, Brighton (Next to Fitstop) with a carpark located behind the studio. Ensure you are familiar with the location and allow ample travel time to avoid delays.

Timing/Late Arrival:​

  • Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face to maximise your appointment time and avoid additional charges.

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your booking and deposit may be forfeited, and you will be charged with the remaining service amount.

  • Failure to attend your appointment will result in forfeiture of your booking and deposit and you will be charged with the remaining service amount.

  • Please try and not bring too many people to your appointment. If you are under 18 you are welcome to bring a parent/guardian.

  • For bridal bookings, if guests or bridal party members are late, additional charges will apply.

Deposit:

  • For all in studio appointment a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit required to secure your appointment.

  • For bridal bookings: a non refundable deposit is required for both trial booking and wedding day booking.

  • Failure to pay your deposit within the specified time (48 hours) will release your booking/wedding date to other potential clients.

  • For bridal bookings, your deposit will be deducted from the final invoice, which must be paid in full 1 week before your wedding date.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Cancellation Policy- In Studio: 

  • A deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance can be paid on the appointment day with cash, card or afterpay (fees apply)

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • If you are emailing about an appointment change/cancellation in the next 48 hours please label subject box 'URGENT'

  • Cancellations with less than 4 hours notice will incur the full service amount. Deposits are non-refundable due to cancellation.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours will incur a 50% service amount.

  • Cancellations outside of the 24 hour notice will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • If Rachael cannot fulfil a booking due to medical/unexpected reasons, we will attempt to rebook you asap, but this is not guaranteed. Your deposit will also be transferred to the new booking.

Cancellation Policy- Bridal:

  • Booking fees and deposits for bridal services are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Changes to the bridal party size or location after the booking will incur additional charges. The original quote applies regardless of party size reduction.

  • Each makeup application requires approximately 45 minutes for brides and 30 minutes for other bridal party clients. The schedule will be based on the ceremony time and the photographer’s arrival. We will accommodate timing changes as best as possible, but flexibility may be limited due to other commitments.

  • If you cancel your wedding booking, the booking fee is non-refundable. If canceled within 4 weeks of the wedding date, the remaining balance must be paid in full.

  • If Rachael is unable to fulfill the booking due to medical reasons, I will try my best help to find/recommend another artist but this is not guaranteed and the deposit will be refunded.

Pricing/Quotes:

  • All services and product prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Bridal quotes provided via email are valid for 1 month. Expired quotes require a new quote with any updated pricing.

Health & Safety:

  • Makeup By Rachael adheres to stringent hygiene and sanitation standards, including having a clean space, sanitised area and tools and using a clean set of brushes for each client.

  • We are not liable for allergic reactions to products/services. Inform us of any allergies or sensitivities prior to your appointment.

  • If you show symptoms of contagious conditions (e.g., cold/flu symptoms, cold sores, conjunctivitis), please do not attend your appointment. Rachael may refuse service if health and safety standards are at risk. The deposit will not be refunded, and partial services may not be able to be provided.

Liability:

Makeup By Rachael is not liable for any skin complications, allergic reactions, or injuries that may occur at the workplace due to the use of our products or services. Clients are responsible for informing us of any known allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy, skin conditions and any medication you are currently taking prior to their appointment.

While we adhere to strict hygiene protocols and use high-quality products, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of reactions or complications. Additionally, we are not responsible for any injuries that may occur in our studio or at the location of service. Your safety and well-being are important to us, and we make every effort to create a safe environment. However, we advise clients to exercise caution and be aware of their own health and safety needs.

Communication: 

Any changes to the booking whether that be in studio or bridal should be communicated as soon as possible to allow adequate time for adjustments. Please email makeupbyrachaelsykes@gmail.com.
